The Mill Sulla base del vasto archivio storico della Quarry Bank Mill nel Cheshire, questa nuova serie sara' ambientata in Gran Bretagna durante la rivoluzione industriale che sta cambiando il paese. Negli anni 1830, bambini di appena nove anni lavoravano in turni di 12 ore, mentre la nuova classe di famiglie proprietarie prosperava. Ma i cosiddetti “white slaves of England”, sono in procinto di reagire per la prima volta . A Quarry Bank Mill le cose stanno per cambiare.
